Gs in Goosebumps history I try to express only my most honest opinion in a spoiler free way Unfortunately there is still always a risk of slight spoilers despite my best efforts If ou feel something in my review is a spoiler please let me know Thank Running Your Best youIt wasn t bad Not creepy but sweet and kinda sad My daughter seemed to have a hard time paying attention to this one And I saw the big plot twist coming a mile away But it was a fun read to do with my daughter OKAY THIS IS THE WORST STINE BOOK EVER Now I love Stine s fear street novels and so I thought why not give goosebumps a try and they stunk IT SEEMED AS IF THEY WERE WRITTEN FOR KIDS The Ghost Next Door by RL Stine was one of my favorites in the Goosebumps series growing up I think that it centered around a seemingly normal girl appealed to me and I remember the plot twist ending caught me off guardListening to The Ghost Next Door as an adult it was no longer relatable and I was left with a girl with an annoyingounger brother I did like the pacing of the novel and the dialogue between the between the charactersSpeaking of the audio I thought Emily Eiden did a fine job with the narration Considering this book was only three hours I felt she succeeded in bringing the reader into the storyHowever this time around the ending only reminded me of the last episode of Lost spoiler alert everyone is dead It was clever and well played out but it didn t hold the same awe it did as an eleven The Fall Of White City (Victorian Chicago Mystery Series Book 1) year oldOverall I felt The Ghost Next Door was a goodoung adult novel and was wonderful to look back on but I don t think it is a plot that would translate to adults otherwiseThis review was originally posted on First Impressions Reviews. He s the one who s dead not Danny and the way she amps up her courage by saying I m a ghost I can do this I can t die again these flames can t really hurt me It must be hard for her but she is very brave hide spoiler Of all of the RLStine books that I read this one was my favorite I still read it now and again I won t give anything away how wrong would that be but if I could I would give this book to everyone for adults it would only take about 3 hours to read for kids maybe 2 days can ou sit still NO But it s my most cherished of his books and I ll never stop loving it Wow This book was crazy 10 There s a strange new kid on the blockHannah s new friend Danny is very peculiar He falls from the roof and lands on his feet He disappears Into thin air it seems And the house he says he lives in is dark and empty Almost as if a ghost were living there I loved it This book actually made me cry I was so surprised by how good it was especially comparing it to most of RLStines other books I m not into the horror genre but I read a lot of his books anyway when I was ounger This was one of the few I actuallly liked It had a lot of mystery and intrigue along with some lighthearted and scary parts The ending was really surprising and sad That s when I cried I liked how it didn t end on a really annoying cliffhanger like most of his books seem to do It did end with a slightly unanswered uestion though I even liked how Hannah and Danny interacted with eachother Overall it was a really enjoyable and good book Definitely worth reading This was a great Goosebumps book I didn t see the twist coming at the end Very entertaining read Re read October 2016This one has one of the best endin. E in Wasn't the house empty when Hannah went to sleep the night before Why does it still look so deserted She's not getting any answers from her new.
Well THAT was interesting No I m serious I enjoyed itHannah is a 12 ear old girl living with her family in a small town It s summer and she s bored Her two International Organizations younger twin brothers age 6 are wild and crazy and take up all her parents time and attention She must find ways to amuse herself in the long hot summer months Ever hear the phrase Idle hands are the devil s workshop Hannah meets the boy next door a 12ear old named Danny with red hair and freckles He s moved into the old Dodson house That s strange it s sat empty for Laurus years And Hannah never saw any moving van or people inside the house Danny claims he s in her grade at her school but she doesn t know him or any of his friendsNevertheless she becomes friends with Danny Unfortunately Danny hangs out with a bad crowd His friends Alan and Fred are always daring him to do things and encouraging him to steal and pull pranks Hannah often spies on the boys and spies on Danny and his activities ostensibly because she suspects he might be a ghost but I think she has a tiny crush on him and sees how the boys treat him and goad him into criminal behaviorTo add onto all of this there is a shadowy dark phantom with glowing red eyes that keeps following her around and warning her to stay away from Danny No one can see it but her Who is it What does it wantIn a shocking surprise twist we realize that view spoiler Hannah is the ghost not Danny She died in a house fire 5ears ago and she and her whole family are dead I think she s here to save Danny he and his thug friends end up setting fire to a crotchety old man s home and she saves Danny s life by helping him escape from the burning buildingI liked Hannah s slow realization that How Come I've Never Seen You BeforeHannah's neighborhood has just gotten a little weird Ever since that new boy moved in next doorBut when did he mov.
